Adaptation to climate change in Bludenz in Vorarlberg, Austria

Climate change is happening and the City of Bludenz is proactively facing its effects! Participatory elements are integrated in all steps of the development of the adaptation strategy in order to increase acceptance and cooperation in the implementation of measures. Building on a risk analysis, a climate impact analysis and a survey of existing measures, the joint elaboration of new climate adaptation measures forms the core element of the process. Mayors, community representatives, associations, representatives of committees, administration, fire brigade, etc. are involved in such a process.
