Climate adaptation concept for the district of Bad Kissingen in Germany
The district is taking an active and forward-looking approach to climate change!

Together with our partner Drees & Sommer, we are developing a comprehensive climate adaptation concept that aims to minimize local risks, exploit opportunities and strengthen the district's resilience in the long term.
Based on a detailed analysis of the climatic conditions, the resulting climate impacts are systematically derived. The assessment of these consequences in terms of exposure and sensitivity as well as the identification of particularly affected areas (hotspots) create the basis for the development of targeted adaptation measures.
A key component of the project is the active involvement of local stakeholders. This participatory approach ensures that the measures are widely accepted and can be successfully implemented in the long term.
The process is supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
