Climate adaptation concept for the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf
Climate adaptation concept for the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf and its municipalities.
As part of the funding provided by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (German – BMUV), a climate adaptation concept (German - KLAK) is being developed for the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf together with our partners Klima Plus and equ:win.
Together with the 14 participating municipalities, we are developing a future-oriented adaptation plan that minimises local risks and strengthens the region's resilience.
To this end, the initial climatic situation is being analysed as well as the expected consequences of climate change. With the help of an impact analysis, climate impacts are assessed for relevant fields of action and local hotspots are identified. Specific climate adaptation measures can be derived on this basis.
Local stakeholders are involved in various phases of the project - from the localisation of climatic impacts and risk areas to the identification of existing adaptation capacities and needs and the development of new climate adaptation measures.
