Concept for the distribution of drinking water wells in Rastatt
The project aims to improve the availability of drinking water in public spaces through data-based and participatory planning and to raise awareness of the importance of a sustainable drinking water supply.

The Concept for the distribution of drinking water fountains in Rastatt’ project aimed to improve the availability of drinking water in public spaces. In the first step, heavily frequented public spaces such as schools, care facilities and tourist attractions were identified and combined with climatic data on highly heated areas. The second step involved participatory consultation with the relevant city authorities to assess the feasibility of installing drinking water fountains in these locations. Another focus was on sensitising the population to the effects of climate change and the importance of an improved drinking water supply. In the third step, a concept for the optimal placement of drinking water wells will be drawn up and summarised in a map and list.
