Creation of a sustainable climate impact adaptation concept for the city of Dormagen
Climate change is happening and the city of Dormagen is proactively facing up to its challenges!
The development of a sustainable climate impact adaptation concept was commissioned in order to enable the city of Dormagen to take decisive steps and measures at an early stage. The involvement of local stakeholders (mayors, municipal representatives, associations, representatives of committees, administration, fire brigade, etc.) takes place both in the "localisation" of climate impacts, the localisation of risks, the determination of adaptation capacity and adaptation needs as well as in the survey of existing and the development of new measures. This participatory approach is particularly important in order to increase the acceptance of local stakeholders. The concept is being developed together with Drees & Sommers. Funding priority A.1: Creation of a sustainable adaptation concept (initial project) in accordance with the guidelines for funding "Measures to adapt to the consequences of climate change".
