Creation of an integrated climate adaptation concept for the district of Düren
Climate adaptation concept for the district of Düren and for all 15 towns and municipalities belonging to the district.
For the climate adaptation concept, the initial climatic situation and the expected climatic consequences are first analysed. Local hotspots are identified with the help of the impact analysis and climate adaptation measures are derived on this basis.
The involvement of local stakeholders takes place in various phases of the project, including the localisation of climate impacts, the identification of risk areas, the determination of adaptation capacities and needs as well as the recording of existing and the development of new measures.
The concept is being developed together with Drees & Sommers. Funding priority A.1: Preparation of a sustainable adaptation concept (initial project) in accordance with the guidelines for funding "Measures to adapt to the consequences of climate change".
