Professional support for the preparation of a sustainable climate adaptation concept
Climate adaptation in the district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Germany
The district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald aims to increase its resilience to the progressive and acute consequences of climate change with the development of an integrated climate adaptation concept. As part of the preparation of the climate adaptation concept, the expected climate change impacts are analyzed, adaptation capacity and needs are identified, and measures are developed. The involvement of a large number of local actors is essential in order to anchor climate adaptation as a cross-sectional and sustainable task in the district.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment within the framework of the funding guideline "Measures for Adaptation to the Consequences of Climate Change".
