Wolfgang Streicher holds a doctorate from the Institute of Thermal Engineering at the Graz University of Technology. Since 2009, he has been a professor for energy-efficient construction with a special focus on the use of renewable energies at the University of Innsbruck. From 03/2020 - 02/2023 he was Vice Rector for Infrastructure at the University of Innsbruck in which function he was in charge of the GHG balancing of the university and the preparation of a sustainability strategy. The focus of his scientific work is on energy-efficient buildings and building technology, renewable energy and energy scenarios.
