Alois Schläffer holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Innsbruck and in Climate Change and Development from the University of London/SOAS. He worked for several years in international cooperation, most recently as head of a GIZ climate change adaptation project in Tajikistan. He returned to Austria in 2016 and worked at alpS in Innsbruck until 2019. Since then, he has been accompanying climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts in his home region in Salzburg's Pinzgau region on a full-time basis.
